My dear friends, I miss you all each and everyday. I dream of you and my arms ache to hold you again. Until we meet again xxxx
Kidlet
A one in a million boy kid was a bull terrier born with the congenital condition Lethal Acro-dermatitis. True love arrived the same day he did and for the next 3 years we were inseperable. On Saturday the 8th of March we said a sad and heartbreaking farewell to our boy. He was let go with love and dignity and our lives will never be the same. 3 years, 1 month and 18 days after this little fire cracker turned our lives upside down and entered our world, an emptiness is now left that is just too much to bear.
He was crazy and sweet and spread love, understanding and acceptance for dogs that are different wherever he went and boy was he loved. He touched the hearts of so many.
His family are in alot of pain right now, but hopefully with time the laughter about his antics will return and the memories of his pure, sweet soul will brighten our spirits again.
Wherever you are baby bean i will always be with you. Till we meet again my darling boy. I will love you always.

Rogue
In 2018 an old friend of mine asked if i could take in his families 16 year old German Sheperd x Dingo. The most gentle and beautiful old girl entered our lives- her name was Rogue. The biggest dog to ever join our pack, she was a priviledge and a joy to care for at the end of her life. She was a bit wobbly with not much muscle tone and on multiple heart meds and prednisolone and we were lucky to have her with us for 6 months until we had to let her go with love and kindness.
Emma Louise
Emma is a little doll, very sweet with a fiesty pom nature and her age is
estimated at approximately 14 years. The bad new's is that Emma has a severe
heart murmur as well as an enlarged heart which occupies most of her chest
cavity, leaving not much space for her tiny lungs. This causes her to have
coughing fit's. Emma also has terrible back legs due to bilateral luxating
patella's which were never repaired. This has caused the knee joint's to fuse
and result's in her walking with a hunched back and has made her spine curve,
she also has an enlarged liver. Emma also does not have a single tooth! Acupuncture has helped her so much with her arthritic condition.
Emma is on 4 different medications for heart and arthritis which she does very well on and keeps her coughing to a minimum. She is on vitamin's as well as a home cooked diet
suited to her needs. However our vet has informed us due to her being left
un-medicated for so long ,she may not have alot of time as her heart condition is
so advanced. Emma dances, love's cuddles, eat's well, give's gorgeous toothless
kisses and all round still has alot of spirit and love to give. We may not have a long time, but we will love her and give her everything necessary to ensure
she has quality time for her twilight days.

Clancy
Our dear sweet boy.......One of our team Evelyn found Clancy near a bus stop and brought him to me,we are thankful to Blacktown animal holding facility for allowing him to do his impound time with us.
Clancy has had a life of sheer neglect, Our old man is a bit of a mess and we are still working on his health, he has old injury to left hind leg (cruiciate tear) it has healed and he gets around very well, flea allergy dermatitis, cauliflower ears, he also is missing part of his lower bottom jaw and all front teeth apart from nubs of canines. He also has a grade 6 bilateral heart murmur. Upon his blood test it was found sadly he is Heartworm Positive. We are stabilizing his health before commencing any treatments. He is on 4 different medications for his heart and arthritis and lotion for his poor damaged skin.
Despite all this, he is the sweetest boy, so gentle and full of love, very gentle with people and other animals. He is old and has been started on heart meds. . We are all in love with him and he has a lot of people on his team- He is officially a Senior and Silky dog rescue Cherished Treasure and we thank their supporters who are helping him on his journey and looking after his medical costs, Fran and AWL western suburbs who have provided lots of nutritious food for him and Trish and her team at Animal Rescues Appeal donated him lots of beds and warm blankets and a belly band which helped us out so much. We are so grateful to these teams of people and we are happy to offer the care and love he deserves in his twilight time, i never stop kissing his face and let him know how loved he truly is.
He is safe now and will never suffer again, welcome to the rest of your life kiddo, it's going to be great from here on in.

ROLAND
Roland is my darling old man who likes to do things his way. He is stubborn, strong willed and an independent boy and has proven over and over how special he is. Roland is on 7 medications! He has an enlarged heart and well as heart murmur, he is in renal failure and has arthritis, he is on a home made diet to help his kidneys. We cared for Rollie with Senior and Silky dog rescue as he had a very large tumor on his bum, we removed it and desexed him and one year in has shown no sign of recurrence. His health is fragile and it was decided he would become a permanent resident - i could have never let him go anyway! I love this boy, although he is a cantankerous old coot and can be a bit of a handful! We always do things Rollies way! He loves nothing more than going out for a quiet stroll, ambling along on his stumpy little legs.

Lily Rose
My little sweetheart and Kiki's BFF. I rescued Lily 9 years ago when i worked for the RSPCA She had been used as a breeding dog and had lived her life caged, she is now 11 years young and still as beautiful as ever, she has an enlarged heart and dry eye and has drops for this as well as medication for her arthritis in her left hind leg, but still is the boss! Lily is my friend who i cant imagine life without, loyal and sweet, gentle and full of so much love. She welcomes all the newbies with love and excitement although has never bonded as strongly with any other bub as she did with Kiki.

Gigi
I first met Gigi as stray a the vet clinic where i worked, she came in barely able to walk, matted up front but with extensive hairloss on and around her tail. I spoke to the people at my local pound and thanks to the kind staff, they offered to let me keep her under Duty of Care, so she wouldn't have to be impounded. I am very grateful to them that they spared her this stress. I named her Gigi in memory of my dog Gemma who passed a few weeks before Gigi found her way to the clinic, i will always believe Gem directed her there for help. Straight away she had a blood test and x-ray, not the best finding's as we saw small nodules on her lungs, her kidney's aren't the best, she has a bulging disc in her spine and is currently being treated with cortisone to reduce swelling. From falling down every few steps, this little girl now zooms around and enjoys pottering out in the garden.Gigi also was discovered to have 2 small mammary tumors and inguinal hernias on both sides of her groin, her surgery to repair all this was extensive but she did so well, her eyes were dry to begin with but are now lovely and shiny. These days she walks around yapping at me in her teeny, tiny bark for food ( you do have to hear her bark to believe it- very cute and hilarious!). Her hair looks marvelous and surprisingly her teeth are amazing and she didn't need a dental.Gigi also has mild dementia and sometimes gets a bit confused, she is on a treatment called Vivitonin and we have seen some improvement. Gigi or little g as i call her has made it through- she is made of tough stuff, she is on a home-made diet to aid her kidney's and i forgot to add she has an enlarged heart and heart murmur, and is on 5 different medications! Gigi is amazing!

OBI
My Obi, my rock and best friend, we have been together for 13 years after he was an extreme physical abuse case, i remember the day he let me into his world so well, after being shut down for so long, to this day he truly only let's my family see his true colours, which is that of a cheeky, smart and loyal boy, he is no longer scared of people, he just doesn't care for them, Obi has been my best friend since i was 21 and it was just me and him against the world, he puts up with sharing me with the many foster's and oldies who have come through my door in the years since then and never complains, he comforts me when my little darlings have passed and he dances around the house with me whilst we clean and listen to The Beatles. He now has arthritis and his eyesight is fading, he is in heart failure and on 4 medications and i truly don't know how old he is, but he's over 13 years and still as loving and loyal as he always has been.
Talula
On the 16th September 2013 I held my baby girl Talula in my arms whilst she went to sleep for the last time. Her passing was peaceful and at home surrounded by her brothers and sisters as i whispered how much i will always love her in her ear. I believe Talula wished to be with her sister Mae and i find peace in this whilst my heart breaks. Talula was rescued in 2007 from deplorable conditions where she was housed with 120 other dogs. Through her strong will she pulled through every illness she faced (of which there has been a few over the years) the last of which was heart failure. Through a rigorous routine of medications and love we had extra time for which i am so grateful for. Although Talula's heart was so strong and full of love, it finally beat its last beat under my hand and she drifted off to Rainbow Bridge to join her family who have gone before her on this journey. Where i cannot be with her except in my dreams. My heart will ache until the day i see my Talula Love again and my life will never be the same having been touched by one special little dog who i am so proud to call mine.
Mae
On 4th September 2013 i made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my baby girl Mae.
In May last 2012 i rescued Mae from a local pound, this sad girl had large mammary tumors, a bilateral heart murmur, a mouthful of rotten and painful teeth and was very skinny. After settling in we did the major op and Mae came through with flying colours. Her tumors were removed and i was so hopeful of the future for my special girl.
Within 8 months Mae's cancer returned and it was then i realised i was providing palliative care for this amazing little dog. I promised her as soon as she let me know she had had enough, i would make sure she could say goodbye with dignity. That is my job as her mama- no matter how much it hurts. The last few months were hard as the realisation hit home, but we made our time count.
When i arrived home and she did not come running to greet me as she had done for the last year and four months. She wanted to get up but was just too tired. Her passing was surrounded by love in the sunshine, in my arms whilst i whispered how loved she always will be and with the team of vet and nurses who have looked after her so well.
Sweet dreams My Mae, i'm so glad we found each other in this big world and i can't wait for the day when i get to hold you in my arms again. I will miss you for as long as i live little darling, run free with our Gem-Gem sweet one xxxxxx

Mr Plods
My lovely boy, how time has flown. Mr Plods was rescued from a local pound at an ancient age (uknown exactly but maybe 16ish), no teeth(he was hand fed), deaf and blind, i carried my chap everywhere and he came to work everyday and slept in his basket and had his little wanders around the property, greeting people,.Our time together was short only 3 months, but we crammed a lifetime of love into that time, he passed a few years ago, but i always remember him with such love, i was proud to make his last days comfortable, loved and happy. xxx
Franklin
My little old Man, Franklin was rescued at approx 14 years of age from a local pound, He was missing the bottom part of his jaw and hence had to be hand fed 3 times a day, he was my constant companion for 1 and 1/2 years and was a bit of a super star, as he got everyone's attention and loved it (everyone was a bit taken aback when they met him as a dear friend of mine said- he was no oil painting, and it is quite shocking to see a dog with part of his face missing, but they soon got over it when he won them over with his devilish charm). He passed away quickly and peacfully in my arms one evening in April 2012 just before we went to sleep, he always did things his way. I miss his funny face everyday xxx
Gem-Gem
Gemma was rescued when she came into the clinic as a stray, she was the worst neglect case i had ever seen, i will not go into details as i want my baby to be remembered for her spirit and heart, not what happened to her. She did have mammary tumors on arrival, which were removed and she lived cancer free for about 8 months, however the cancer returned and spread quickly to her lungs, we gave my Gem-Gem her wings to rainbow bridge in September 2012 at home surrounded by her brothers and sisters and knowing she was so very loved, the sweetest little girl i have ever had the pleasure of knowing, i will miss and love her always xxx
Wilfred
Little Willy, we love and miss you so much, in the 5 short weeks we had to love you, we did with all our heart's.
And to my boy, You were always meant to be with me Little Willy, i wish i could have known you in your younger year's before the cancer. I bet you would have been a right little terror! Your spirit was strong, brave and beautiful and i feel
privileged, lucky and proud to have been your guardian (mummy) on your final
journey in this world. In a small space of time, you lodged yourself firmly in
my heart and there you will stay forever. In another time and place we will meet
again and i will never let you go. I love you Boy xxxx

Lyla
Darling Lyla, i knew when we took her in, her time with us would not be a long period, but i didn't think it would
be this short either. We all love her so much. Lyla is such a special girl and has had alot of support from some very special people, especially the ladies from Winter Appeal for Victorian Animal Rescue Groups. Lyla is flea free and clean, she has a beautiful big bed of her own, she has been given pain relief and antibiotics, most importantly she has a family to love and cherish her, but this and her dignity is all we can give her. Lyla matters, and she should never have been left in the state she was, then discarded, we are glad we could give her love and comfort even if it was only for a short time. I'm so sorry Lyla, we love you, please understand we have to protect you from any more pain xx
I would like to thank and extend my heart to the Rapley Family for loving Lyla and taking her in as their own and loving her in her final days.

Kiki
My Kiki, my heart and soul, how i miss you, your quirks and fiestiness. Kiki was found thrown onto the road when she was 5 weeks old, our vet placed her in my hands and it was instant love, she was very dirty and had a little tiny right hind leg that was bent right in the middle and was useless, Our bond was immediate, she followed me everywhere and never left my side. At 6 months she had her little leg amputated as it was making her trip over, hooking around her good leg, after that she was the fastest little blur, zooming around the house and playing chasing's with me and the rest of the gang. Our life was perfect, Kiki quickly established she was the boss, she didn't mind me rescuing little oldie's but no younger dogs, it offended her big time. I say it always, Kiki was the sunshine in my house and life, every night she curled up next to me on the couch or by my head when we slept, her spirit was so big it seemed impossible it could come from a dog so small. All of a sudden Kiki started to have little lumps pop up over her body, she was only 3 years old and we were told by a pathologist, it was to do with her hair follicles being imbedded. No biggy, we removed the little lumps and went on our way, they then returned, my vets placed her on prednisolone (cortisone) which helped and they seemed to reduce, she had multiple blood test's all which were normal. We decided to wean her off the prednisolone, a few days into this she started to seem really sore when being picked up, straight in for x-rays and i was told it looks like she has Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) but to confirm she needed ct scans and bone biopsies taken, which we did, the results came back that she had an infection in her bones caused by an auto immune disease, her body was turning on itself, because her immune system didn't work, no antibiotics or anti-fungal meds even made a dent, the specialist and our vets placed her on everything they could possibly think of, she was still fighting though, neither of us was sleeping and the terror in my heart was building. Kiki was in hospital when i decided to bring her home, enough was enough, i picked her up and we sat on the floor in front of the fire, her vet was coming to give Kiki her wings, Within a short space of time Kiki died in my arms before her vet could arrive much to everyone's shock as no-one believed she would pass that day on her own, she wanted to be home where she felt safe and loved with her brothers and sisters, so she waited and held on to go home. Kiki was 3 years and 4 months old. This was in June of 2012, not a day that has gone by has been easier, i miss her and still can't believe she is not here physically with me. Every animal i rescue, i see a piece of Kiki and know this little dog will have the same connection with someone as i did with my girl, we are so lucky to have them even for a short time and every life is worth saving, some maybe short, by luck of the draw Kiki's genetics caused her to be so sick and have a short life- we were cheated, but i am so grateful to whatever higher power let us find eachother out of all the dogs and people in all the world, i was proud to say she was my baby. I miss you sweetheart, until we meet again xx
